Yoga - Reinstating Supernatural Potential
We humans are born endowed with supernatural ability but through our interactinon
with matter, which we know as life, the memory of our remarkable capacity is polluted and forgotten.
In time, habit takes away from us our natural ability, which we today know as ‘Supernatural.’
Since habit requires no creative resources, the supernatural and extrasensory abilities
are burried under the mind. The deprecating means to perceive reality through the five senses are
more than enough to sustain a habitual and ordinary existence. Yoga is the journey of
detoxifying the mind to reveal the all powerful and loving consciousness once again.
The heart of Yoga practice involves
understanding, channelling, mastering, and neutralizing (nirodha)
painful energy patterns(klesha-s) within the mind (chitta),
and transforming them into a meaningful and compassionate reality.
This is known as (svadhaya) - Study of the Self, by the Self.
As you gradually peel away the mind, the underlying consciousness is revealed.
The powers of extrasensory faculties such as insight, instinct, and intuition, plus
the Yogic siddhis (omnipresense, omnipotence, and omniscience)
are enhanced to the exact degree the consciousness is revealed.
In all Yoga tutorials, we refer to 'Extrasensory Perceptions' as our faculties of intuition, insight, and
instinct while the 'Supernatural' abilities are linked to Omnipresence, Omnipotence, and Omniscience.
