PRACTICE
AND NON-ATTACHMENT = SELFLESS SERVICE
Remember that Yoga is the business of bringing order to the information within our energy
fields by moving away from suffering towards love. The path of accumulating enough
goodness, enough power, and enough knowledge to change ourselves, and our world.
In doing this, we restore a sustainable society, ecology, and environment.
The most beneficial aspect of unattached intention is that there
is no selfish binding emotion involved in the action of the citizen. When there
is no attachment, there is no selfish motive because the
desire of the individual is not steeped in greed. In this case,
the motive is selfless. As a result, if there is
any dissapointment in the pursuit of the goal and the desire remains unfulfilled, the person
does not resort to delusive evils such as deception, ill-will, and violence.
When the motive of men is not steeped in greed and the acquisition of power, then
irrational behaviors,
governed by wrong ideas, obsolete beliefs and aspirations can be discerned and weeded out gradually.
When there is no dissapointment, there is clarity. The primary wrong idea from which all others
spill forth is the idea that I am this body, in this place, speaking this language,
living in this house, with this job, bank balance,
and title...to name a few.
It is very important in the practice of Yoga that False Ego of us being a material entity
diminishes gradually so that clarity dawns because clarity is what enables one to discern.
Environmental crisis
and various resource-crises: energy, food, water, among others are all the result
of desire gone wrong.
Impact of our Thoughts, Feelings and Intentions on our Reality
Quantum experiments demonstrate that electrons exist simultaneously in an
infinite array of possibilities in an invisible field of energy.
They exist, but do not manifest in reality until the observer (you), puts their
attention on any location of any one electron belonging to a
particular possibility. This phenomenon is called
the collapse of the wave function. The moment the observer looks for an electron,
there is a specific point in time and space when all probabilities of the
electron collapse into a physical event.
At the subatomic level, energy responds to your mindful attention and becomes matter or
manifests as certain states of mind and events. How would your life change if you
learnt to direct your attention and collapse the waves of probability into a positive reality
that benefited humanity as a whole? When you work selflessly for the social, economical, and environmental
good, you automatically benefit yourself.
As Emerson once said:
“It is one of the beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to
help another without helping himself.”
According to both, Quantum and Yogic science, we are potentially capable of bringing into
existence an infinite number of possible realities and experiences into our lives.
In the Quantum model, mind and matter are intimately intertwined. As a result, our mind,
has profound effects on matter(energy), because the thoughts which make up our mind is
energy capable of powerfully shaping the consequences.
When you sharpen your skills of mindfulness to intentionally affect your destiny,
you are well on your way to living the ideal version of your life by becoming
the idealized version of yourself. But keep in mind at all times that if you go
after money, sex, and power, the lower forms of attainment, then the cycle of suffering
and ugliness will persist.
